Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant with a luxury automotive retailer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate financial data, reconcile specific general ledger accounts, and execute month-end closing activities for the corporate location, while extending support to other business entities.
• Supervise and provide crucial assistance to bookkeepers, contribute to month-end closure, bank reconciliations, and the review of financial statements.
• Assist with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and career growth.
• Participate in the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and entities.
• Assist with and research sales and use tax, property tax, and motor fuel tax matters.
• Manage general ledger accounts reconciliation, journal entry preparation, and necessary adjustments.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and system enhancements to streamline financial operations, enhancing overall efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of Accounting experience.
• Experience with a public accounting firm a plus.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standard.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
