Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant with a $1B privately-held healthcare company.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurately recording and organizing financial data related to the company's operations.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

• Preparing and submitting financial reports on a regular basis, ensuring that they are submitted in a timely manner.

• Play a crucial role in monitoring the company's budgets and expenses, identifying any discrepancies and making recommendations for cost-saving measures.

• Work closely with other departments to gather financial data, resolve any discrepancies, and provide support for budget planning and forecasting.

• Staying updated on industry regulations and ensuring that the company's financial practices are in compliance with these regulations.

• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary financial information and documentation as needed.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work towards implementing more efficient and effective financial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics from an accredited university.

• Accounting, Tax or Audit internship or other general work experience while attending school.

• Positive, driven attitude with good communication and organizational skills.

• Interest in eventually pursuing a CPA license.
