Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join a growing organization. This role offers the opportunity to support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities across the organization. The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will collaborate closely with finance and operational teams to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with accounting standards. Reporting to the Finance leader, this position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in financial systems and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, understanding key financial drivers.
  • Develop comprehensive financial reporting packages with operational KPIs, providing timely, accurate insights to leadership.
  • Support monthly closing processes for business units and consolidated reporting, working closely with accounting teams.
  • Analyze departmental expenses including SG&A, investigating variances and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing Board presentations and leadership materials with clear, insightful financial information.
  • Review financial data and reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting policies.
  • Coordinate quarterly lender reporting including covenant calculations, compliance certificates, and liquidity assessments.
  • Administer financial planning tools using Workday Adaptive Planning, managing models, reporting structures, and forecast processes.
  • Maintain recurring reports and dashboards that support ongoing financial analysis and planning needs.
  • Contribute to system and process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Support special projects and strategic business initiatives through detailed financial analyses and modeling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Workday Adaptive Planning, including developing models and reports.
  • Proficiency with NetSuite and Excel (PivotTables, lookups, financial modeling).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and industry-standard accounting practices.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
