Accounting and Finance Senior Manager

Accounting & Finance Senior Manager contract role with a global non-profit organization. 
 

Summary

The contract Accounting & Finance Senior Manager will report to the Controller and duties include accounting, budget planning and control, cash and investment management, treasury, audit, and tax compliance.

This assignment is expected to begin on or around May 19 and last for approximately 12 – 14 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for the organization’s overall financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare and/or review all monthly financial reporting, quarterly financial projections (including variance notes), and annual financial budget for the organization.
• Support the Controller in overseeing tax and audit activities for the organization.
• Prepare annual management fee budget calculations and quarterly true-up calculations.
• Ensure the timely completion and submission of financial and statistical reporting for management and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare monthly cash flow reports and quarterly cash flow projections for management.
• Provide monthly financial reports to management on income and expenses (actual vs. budgeted) and monthly reports on investments.
• Develop and implement initiatives to improve accounting procedures and ensure that results are attained and quality standards are met.
• Ensure timely closing and completion of projects.
• Ensure the completion of matters related to regulatory compliance including state annual reports, registration as a charity, etc.
• Manage required regulatory filings and other compliance requirements to maintain Foundation’s nonprofit status.
• Oversee all treasury functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• CPA required.
• Experience in finance and accounting in a nonprofit organization required.
• Technology savvy with working knowledge of accounting and HRIS software.
• Experience with the following software preferred: Oracle NetSuite, Workday Adaptive, FloQast, Raisers Edge/Blackbaud.
