Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant with a $450+ million company in rapid growth mode.
 

Summary

The Senior Accountant will help lead the accounting and finance team at the new Shared Services Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including AR, AP, Payroll, Treasury, and General Ledger.
• Timely, accurate, and efficient monthly accounting close including preparing various journal entries.
• Maintain accurate project accounting records, including journal entries, expense allocations, and accruals.
• Review and maintain detailed fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Manage the invoicing and payment processes for multiple construction projects, including calculation of percentage of completion.
• Responsible for complete review of monthly financial reports.
• Assist senior management with preparation and completion of fiscal budgeting process.
• Develop forecasts to provide accurate projection of financial performance.
• Review polices and processes and make revisions when needed to improve function of the Accounting group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. CPA not required but preferred.
• 5+ years of GL accounting experience, with experience in a construction, manufacturing, retail, or other cost and inventory accounting environment.
• Organization and project management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• SAGE 100 experience is a plus.
