Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager with a privately-held company.
 

Summary

The Accounting Manager reports to the Director of Accounting and works closely with the Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Executive Officer, President and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for actuals, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, including Free Cash Flow, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. 
• Assist with preparation and analysis of journal entries for critical accounting areas, such as lease accounting under ASC842.
• Manage consolidation-related activities such as changes to the global chart of accounts, entity reporting hierarchies, consolidation mappings, intercompany eliminations, and other processes.
• Analyze intercompany transactions and reconciliations and resolve any differences.
• Advise operating companies on best practices relevant to accounting department structure and function.
• Research the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions and assist operating companies with recording the proper journal entries.
• Develop internal and external reporting processes and procedures for operating companies where needed.
• Assist in developing methods and techniques to analyze company financial performance and offer solutions for improvement.
• Develop and manage project plan for the integration of accounting functions at operating companies.
• Monitor progress against goals and ensure that integration efforts meet and exceed expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting. CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of public accounting and/or industry experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver results in fast-paced environment.
• Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP. Experience with leases under ASC842 a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
