Sales Tax Senior Manager

Sales Tax Senior Manager with a $1B+ manufacturer located in Northeast Atlanta.
 

Summary

The Sales Tax Senior Manager will oversee the entire sales tax department.  In addition, the role will be responsible for improving current processes, assisting with sales tax audits, and reviewing returns filed by 3rd party preparers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all sales tax functions including audits, compliance, technology, and exemption certificate issues
• Review the sales tax accrual general ledger account reconciliation
• Improve current processes used in the monthly sales tax filing process
• Effectively manage a team of sales tax compliance and audit professionals
• Review any sales tax returns filed by a third-party preparer
• Assist with sales tax audits
• Point of contact for all internal/external sales tax questions
• Handle various other payments and returns

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 10+ years of sales tax experience
• Microsoft Office Suite proficient (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
• Tax Technology software (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource)
• JD Edwards experience preferred but not required
• Detail oriented, deadline sensitive
