Senior Financial Analyst with a mid-sized private-equity backed manufacturing company.
 

Summary

Reporting to the Controller, this role will support the overall efforts of the Company CFO to drive performance management to business targets, increase Company profitability and support insights and decision making.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify key drivers of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow variances, including both accrual and expense variance analysis
  • Sales reporting and analysis, including customer rebates, broker commissions, and marketing allowances
  • Support dashboards and KPIs, with strong analytical bias
  • Production costing reports and analysis, including BOM development, networking capital analysis, and CAPEX management
  • Lead the design and implementation of tools for annual budgeting and monthly forecasting across the business
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures in partnership with Corporate Controller, local Finance leads, and the FP&A team
  • Understand and execute internal controls related to accountability; proactively seek opportunities to strengthen internal controls
  • Complete frequent ad-hoc assignments and projects upon request from the local units, group or private equity partners
  • Provide support for Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Distribution teams in a matrix organization

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food manufacturing or a foodservices related industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Experience with a midsize private equity-backed company is preferred; or larger multi-location organization with multiple touch points and line of communications
  • Strong analytical skills with a strong arsenal of analytical tools to understand variances and identify key drivers and insights
  • Strong Excel skills are a must; experience with Power BI is a huge plus
  • Experience supporting the sales function to include broker commissions and trade, and operations function around costing and gross margin
  • Strong project management skills to lead monthly and annual budgeting processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and not afraid to provide financial guidance and support to senior leaders
