Senior Accountant

Summary

The Senior Accountant will partner closely with the VP of Finance and own core general ledger, month-end close, and job-cost/WIP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day general ledger accounting including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations
• Support and/or lead the monthly close process; help improve timelines, accuracy, and documentation
• Perform construction accounting functions including job costing and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting
• Help ensure costs are properly tracked/allocated between GA and TX operations (service + sales activity)
• Provide support/oversight to the existing transactional team (AR/AP/Payroll) as needed; ensure clean handoffs into the GL
• Assist with budgeting, cash forecasting, and basic reporting/analysis for leadership
• Partner with the VP of Finance on process improvements, controls, and ad hoc projects as the role evolves

Requirements

• Strong, proven GL accounting background
• Experience in construction and/or roofing (or closely related project/job-cost environment)
• Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with allocations, multi-location activity, and operationally driven accounting
• Experience level target: roughly 5+ years experience
• Clear communicator with a practical, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
