Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager and Reporting Team Lead to join an established company’s tax department. In this role, you will develop and oversee efficient tax structures, ensure accurate reporting of tax positions, and support the organization’s financial and tax strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership to analyze tax impact of transactions, model and maintain tax positions, and drive process improvements. Reporting to the Finance leader, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset to foster a high-performing tax team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tax return items to ensure compliance and accurate reflection of business operations and tax positions.
• Partner with leadership to align tax initiatives and assess tax implications of business transactions.
• Model and maintain tax positions and attributes for assigned business entities.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and business units on complex tax issues.
• Build relationships across departments to understand business activities and optimize tax strategies.
• Serve as the primary contact for tax authority inquiries and oversee responses.
• Lead process improvement efforts, including automation and transformation initiatives, to enhance team efficiency.
• Support talent development by coaching team members, fostering value-driven thinking, and empowering staff to contribute effectively.

Requirements

• Proven career progression in corporate or partnership taxation, tax accounting, or compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership with at least 5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, communicate results clearly, and drive initiatives forward.
• Strong understanding of tax reporting and modeling for diverse business activities.
• Excellent relationship-building skills across functional teams.
• Experience with process improvement and automation in a tax environment is desirable.
